Difficulty posting replies.

I use both a modem (telephone line - 56K)and a DSL line. I can post replies replies using the modem but not over the DSL line. Any ideas why?

What exactly happens when you try to reply when using the DSL? What kind of error message do you see?

It takes forever to do anything and then I get a message that says "Cannot find server" with the "Page cannot be displayed" page. At the bottom of this page it says:
"Cannot find server or DNS Error
Internet Explorer"
Thanks for replying.

can you load other pages with your DSL? are you connecting from home or work? what kind of computer are you using? what ISP are you using? do you have any content-controls set? Is there anything else you think may be important to the problem youcan tell us?

I have no problems loading other pages with the DSL line.
Since I work mostly from home, I guess that I am connecting from both. The line does not go through a network on this end.
The computer is a HP, Pavillion 7965, Pentium 4, 1.7 GHZ, with 512 MB of SDRAM, 160 GB Hard Drive (total), 32 MB nVidia graphics card memory. The operating system is Windows XP Home.
The ISP is Pathway Communication who provide both the dial-up and DSL line.
The controls are set at default.
I had no problems posting replies until Microsoft sent me an E-mail about a security fault that needed correction. I downloaded the fix and the problem started.
Thanks

That's your ISP then dude... your DNS servers are screwed up.

If I use dialup with my ISP, I can post. If I use DSL, same ISP, I can't post. Any ideas. The only reason for asking is that my DSL is unlimited usage and my dial-up is very limited usage.

check your dsl setup, make sure all the IP address for stuff like hosts and like halx said, DNS servers are correct.
