Multiple Online Buddies
 

So, I've been curious about this issue for a while now, and I've finally decided to ask people who might be able to give me an answer as to....

Why do multiple instances of my online buddies show up on the front page some times? Sometimes one of my buddies name will appear like half a dozen times or more. I'm not a programmer, so I don't have many ideas. All I can think of is maybe it happens if a user has multiple threads open in different windows their name will show up for each thread. Any info would be great, since my curiosity just won't die until I find the truth!!

I've experienced this as well, but with a single name appearing no more than twice.

mine is the same as degrawj......I sometimes have the same name as many as 6 time.

It happens...couldn't tell you why. Probably a bug in the software...don't know if it's even reasonable for Halx to try and fix it. It's certainly not the most important of potential technical issues that could be addressed.

Anyway, that's my take on it. But, yes, I do know what you're talking about.

Well, at least I know I'm not the only one who noticed this! :-) I don't see any reason to fix it either, I was just curious as to whether anybody knew why it happened. If only there was a way to test my hypothesis...

i've tried to figure it out.. I thought I got it fixed.. then it started again. Heh.. no idea yet.
