question about acceptability of avatar
Would it be ok if I used an avatar with a picture of Lain Iwakura?
She was the main character of a Japanese anime show, she was - in a sense - a 14 year old girl, but also in a sense she was a God - its a bit complex anyway... but I didnt know if it would run afoul of the "no under 18's" rule... obviously it is an animated character, not a real person under 18, but I wanted to check it would be cool or not before i changed it.

I take the "no" call, as well. We've disallowed images of the Power Puff Girls, because they're "underage". This falls into the same catagory.

What about the psyco little girl that Halx has as his avatar now?
I've also wondered about people posting drawings they have done of children. Is that not allowed either?

Yeah,
I wish there was a one size fits all rule that is easy to apply, but there isn't. I would have leaned toward a 'yes', animie is ok, but others think not. Too bad we have to worry about such things.

how about this one? - it was pretty small before and so probably didn't get noticed by anyone - but I don't want to break any rules.
The image is from an old BBC test-card, the kind they used to show during 'technical difficulties' Please let me know (PM if you want) if it breaks any rules - and I'll use something different. |
