Blocking Yahoo/Hotmail Emails from Registration
I'm hoping a supermod/admin can point me in the right direction here. I understand that on the TFP, people can't sign up using generic email addresses...i.e. yahoo, hotmail, etc. Well, I admin another forum, and we would like to implement that feature as well. We're running VB 3.0.3 too, and I was wondering if this is a hack, or what all you had to do to get that feature in place.
Thanks in advance for any response...we appreciate it!!

I don't know how hal does it but you could write some php code that looks at the email addy when the user signs up. Look at everything after the @ in the email addy and if that string matches any string in your block list, they don't get in.

hope that many boards dont start doing this, as yahoo is the only email i have, its just easyer and quicker than my ISP's, no freaking clue what the generic ___numbers___@server email was, let alone the 15 digit or so password they assigned me ><
