Just wanted to thank you for the site itself. Yes I spent most of my time on the titty board but still love the rest of the boards. I was here the last time the E board was shut down and understand completely.

Halx is right on this one. It has been pretty much that viutually no one in on the other forums. I have never seen more than 20 in the General disscussion. That's really sad. COZ GD should be the main attraction. And there's my 2 cents.

The thing is, that response didn't cover anything that isn't in the forum's documentation, which is sticky'd all over this site. If the porn disappears, you should know what happened. I've noticed since the upgrade that zone has been pulling in about ten times the number of users that were in any other area.

If you're not contributing, you're not pulling your weight. That's the way it is around here, and it's just that simple.

I get why the sites down, understand and accept the situation. I am also grateful to those who make it happen. honestly the forums kick ass. the EZ is great but i mean there other parts are awesome i.e. tilted weapons, and tilted motors. to be honest, i never donated, it isn't because i didn't want to, it was just that it never entered my mind. that may sound greedy but i just never thought about it. something like this needs to be done for those people like me who really don't know what kind of time and money is involved in running a site. and about people bitching about the donations, say you donate some money to a NON profite organization, they utalize your money and use it for a good cause, if they go under from lack of funds, are you going to sue them for your money back? i am assuming not. halx supplied us a great service, and it is about time that us leechers pay for it.

Averett. I have made no claims, not a beggar, nor a saint. I am empathic to the board's financial situation but will not donate money. I appreciate its existence and understand that there are people who maintain it financially and technically. Good on them, thanks to them. I am a calm observer (in my view) and treacherous leacher (in yours I imagine). I don't mind what you think, I'm going to find a more interesting forum to enjoy. Why don't you stay here and find some people to scorn.

I know I'm not the most frequent poster here (mainly that's job related...it's hard to find reliable internet access in third world countries and war zones), but here's my 2 cents.
I was here for months before I could so much as *look* at the titty boards without violating (again-work related) rules. And guess what? I survived.
I would almost hope that this is a permanent feature. I've noticed that Halx needs to do this every so often, and it does keep the quality of the rest of the forum up.
For everyone who won't didn't see this coming, I say:
IT'S THE FREAKING INTERNET, YOU DO NOT NEED SOMEONE TO SPOON FEED YOU PORN. GOOGLE IT.

What is striking to me is the fact that everyone thinks they have to donate cash. It would be great if they did (I plan to send some money hal's way soon) but as mentioned there are other ways to donate..as in posting responsibly and often... let me repeat.. you can donate by posting in other areas of the board and contributing ideas and thoughts.

A logical question:

What point is there in me donating if the erogenous zone is now gone? That's what I visited the site for, and I'm not interested in much else. That's not a rip on the rest of the board, just honesty on my part. I'm not much for online discussions.

The smart way to do this would have been to warn people 10 days ahead of time, set a goal for donations, and see if you got enough to keep the section. But just pulling it out from under everybody is going to get you less donations, if any.

IF Halx had the physical resources to do that, he probably would. Clearly he does not, hence the need for donations. Explore the board a bit and you'll find - in a very logical and obvious place for most contributors - even more information about the need for money and the kind of hardware it's needed for.

As far as being pulled without notice, if you read the TFP Charter and the rules of TFP, you will find that not only is the porn not a core part of the purpose for the site, it isn't even one of the purposes at all. It is an extra little thing that's nice for people to have, but no one should be here strictly for the porn.

To those who have not contributed anything in time spent outside the EZ or, at least, money. The porn isn't what TFP is about - whether or not that's true for you. If you refuse to contribute time elsewhere on the forum or money, that's fine - go somewhere else for free porn. If you like the things that TFP values - open and respectful communication and all that other stuff mentioned in the charter you were supposed to read when you signed up, then go explore the rest of the forum. Chances are, you'll probably enjoy it.

To those who ARE contributors, thanks for your support. Remember though, everyone has to start somewhere. A lot of you didn't start participating until a time when the EZ was turned off for awhile. So, keep in mind that the person you're talking to may be a lurker today, but they may be a top member a few months from now.

Everyone on both sides should always make their best attempt to be respectful in their discussion.

It seems Halx wants money, he knows that addicts will come here and look at porn to get their fix. So take away their fix, they become desperate that they'll do anything to get their fix back, even if it means forking over some dough to support their habit.

Wait a while, Halx will have money flowing into his bank account and will reopen the titty boards again. Next year his beer funds dries out again, closes the titty board, the addicts whips out their credit cards and the process proceeds again until the next year.

Halx is no dummy and he's very smart. He should be doing more business.

This is a very unique forum with EVERYTHING with every subject possible, caters just about every walks of life, including porn addicts, which is his large catagory and most frequent used.

Take a look at it this way, you could operate a "family style" business, like a video store for example, sometimes, some of the business may have a porn section in the back room away from view of the soccer moms. Many may know about it and choose not to get envolved.

Fortunantly, this is the internet, an entirely different setting altogether, but have more freedom to moosey around the porn section w/o the fear of getting busted by someone they know. But the business concept is kinda about the same idea.

I'm kinda poor myself, as I make slightly above the minimum wage, if I could afford to donate I would, but at the same time, I recognize his business practice.

Hang tight guys, it'll reopen soon as these pimpled face geeky guys blows off somewhere else.

You're right Itunn, you've caught us. This is all a big business ploy to get Halx and the rest of the mods rich. Running this site is cheap, it takes no resources whatsoever. The idea that new server hardware would be necessary to run a site with tens of thousands of users everyday is laughable. I knew we couldn't keep up the facade for much longer...we're caught. we actually get free hardware from the US government so that they can use this site to spy on people and they cover the bandwidth bills as well.



Gimme a break. I'm gonna be honest and say I'm getting a bit sick of the people with their heads up their asses who think it doesn't cost a crapload of money to run this site, let alone get the hardware necessary for it to run smoothly.
