it seems like my sig take up way more space that it needs. i checked my user cp thinking i had a bunch of soft-returns i could delete... but that isn't so. it kinda bugs me because i hate people having to scroll a little bit extra on the threads. why do you suppose this is?

Well, it depends on your avatar and how long your posts are. If you notice on your longer posts, your sig doesn't leave that much empty space because you are using more space than your profile section. But on shorter posts, the space has to be there because your profile section is larger.......this is my assumption though, im not sure.

yes, look at your avatar and the other various lines of text and icons below your name.. that's what's taking up all the vertical space.

i had considered that as a possibility... but i guess i discounted it before i should have. i appreciate the quick and helpful response.
