Board is running really really slow

Is this true for everyone, or just me? My other boards I go to are running nice and fast, so I don't think it is on my end. Is this like a temporary server problem or something? I have actually noticed it since I signed up. It is taking 10-45 seconds to even change pages.

Too many people. Seems that's the future for TFP from what I can see.

Seems we are setting new records for online users (yesterday peaked at 1100+) no wonder the board is running slower than usual.

We're working on it server-side. I expect the site to be running smooth in less than a couple weeks. If it isn't then we'll start a drive to build a new server.

Well having record numbers of people would explain why sometimes the board is slow for me. I just figured that it was my connection being flaky (which it tends to be anyways). Good to know that it's a server-side issue that is being worked on.

Is there anything that we can do client-side that will make things faster? Perhaps turning down some bells and whistles of VB3?

That's what I was thinking too. Soon I will donate, I PROMISE! As soon as my tuition refund check comes, I shall. Untill then, I guess its server upgrades?

Or, you could limit the # of guests at a time?

I was noticing the boards running slow last week, but now, everything is dandy. It might have just been lag on my end, though.

a couple of days back my dsl connection seemed to lag on this site in particular. It's been fine for the last day or two and waaay faster than during the days of the titty board.

It was slowing down for me too. I was an idiot and decided to try to "fix" it, breaking IExplorer during my attempt. I had to reinstall the bloody brogram. At least it's fast again, no thanks to my idiocy.
