The Forum Clock
Hey
Is it just me or is the time wrong on this forum? I adjusted my time in my preferences to GMT+2, which is my timezone, and the time on the forum says 10:21 while my watch (which I checked BTW) says 9:22. Is the forum's clock just wrong? |

The time is always right on my computer. The only thing I could think of is if either the timezone is set wrong in your preferences, or if the timezone is set wrong in your computer. Go to Control panel, then Date and Time to check what the time zone is in your computer.

hmmm...could it be something with Daylight Savings Time? I can tell you the forum clock is right - that much I know. Do they do Daylight Savings in SA? That could be it maybe, or maybe you're just mistaken about your GMT offset. *shrug*

We have no Daylight Savings time. My GMT offset is +2 and IS set correctly for my PC and the forum, and yet time here is an hour fast. This leads me to believe that maybe there is a little bug/typo with this GMT setting in the list on my profile, which makes it +3 maybe?

Since you don't have daylight savings time yet the forum does, your offset changes. What the forum recognizes as GMT is effected by daylight savings time I'm sure, otherwise all of use who do (the majority of users) would need to manually change our own GMT offset when daylight savings came on and off. Technically accurate? Sure. But it'd be a pain in the butt.
