it's an issue of files remaining in your cache. i'll explain this in dummy-friendly terms.
you look at a picture and the file stores itself in a folder (called a cache) on your computer so if you pull it up again, it'll show up quickly so you don't hafta wait for everything to load over and over as you go back and forth within sites. sometimes, when you look at a picture and then post it into a thread, the computer will remember it is already on your computer and pull the picture from the cache instead of pulling the picture from the server where the picture is hosted, so it shows in your thread. sometimes, however, when you look at the picture the computer tries pulling it from its server, which has blocks on it to prevent people from linking those images on sites other than those that the people who put the pictures up allow. when that happens, you get redexes. that means that your computer is working against you and you end up with threads full of rexes, even though the test looked okay. i would suggest pressing ctrl-f5 in your test thread. this tells your computer to forget about the files in your cache and pull the images directly from the server again. this will allow you to see whether the pictures are actually linking from the server or just being pulled from your cache. hope this helps.

kind've. pressing ctrl-f5 is like telling your computer to ignore the temporary internet files (another name for your cache) and reload the images directly from the server. i would do this when i'm testing the images in the testing board. this will determine whether or not the entire set will link properly.

BIG TIP: Go to Internet Options under Tools in Internet Explorer then click where it says Delete Files.
My guess is that you have a crap load of temp files that have NEVER been cleared. Also on the first tab, click Settings then make sure the Every visit to page is ticked and not Never.
