If it's just old and off the first page, just do a search, or search through the older pages. If it was taken off public viewing, then you're out of luck, sorry.

Oops, I forgot that the forum defaults to show only recent pages. You can do what ono has suggested, or, if you want to permanently set it to show all threads, click on usercp -> edit options and scroll down to Default thread view. Change that to "show all threads."
