Over on the general discussion board is a post about avatars. This was interesting to me, cause I had never heard the freakin word before. A trusty google search returned these results:

What the hay is all this nonsense about avatars? What is an avatar? Is it the little pictures by your posts? If so, when do you get to post an avatar? Why would I or anyone else want to have an avatar? And where in the hay do you guys find all those silly little pictures and things?

Hope this is the right forum to post this. So, fill me in, I'd appreciate it.
