IP banning.
I was just lurking the forums when a message saying “Your IP has been banned by the administrator” appeared. Now I was pretty sure that I didn’t do anything that warranted a ban so I reconnected using a different ISP to see if my account has actually been banned and it hasn’t (evidently heh).
I’m just wondering if I am in fact not wanted around here, in which case I’ll promptly leave or if it was someone else that uses the same ISP as me that was banned, and it somehow effected me as well. If anyone can shed any light on this, I’ll be grateful. Thanks. -bing Last edited by bing bing; 07-14-2003 at 08:09 PM.. |

Sorry to say but you got caught in the rotating IP ban cycle.
There are a very few people who have behaved badly enough that we IP ban them. Unfortunately this means that sometimes innocent folks get caught (including a mod or two). If you could let us know what the IP is when you are banned that would be very helpful. Nobody is out to get you and if you have any further questions just PM a mod. We will do everything we can to help. Last edited by redravin40; 07-14-2003 at 08:52 PM.. |

I've got a second ISP which lets me connect in the morning so i'll just use that. It will probably work out OK for me in the end because it means that i'll actually be able to put some study in at night now. Thanks for the replies
