I put cops on mute, does that count? If you rewind cops, the cops let the guy go, he goes back to loving his wife, returns the beer to the can, and sits back down in his easy-boy recliner on the front lawn.

Speaking for myself, I'm quite sure I recall a much ballyhooed notification that the ignore feature for all members would be uninstalled, and forever left as such. Therefore, the ignoring will have to be done the old-fashioned way: indifferent silence (or as I've come to notice, anonymous user-bashing courtesy of the MP).

If there's one flavor of behavior that sums up the experience that was Woods, passive aggression is it. I think you and I have been fairly successful in re-purposing the passive-aggressiveness for the greater good.


Speaking of the ignore function, I think we should do away with it entirely. Right now it just seems like it mainly exists to provide a slightly passive aggressive way to tell someone to piss off (not trying to single out the OP).

If I had the time to do it, no one would be able to put anyone on ignore. We had at one time removed the ignore feature off of several of the themes. As I'm prepping the new upgrade, it is on my list of things to try to accomplish in a meaningful manner.

Why would we want something like that? Because it takes a level of maturity to deal with things and people you don't like in a community minded manner that doesn't create hate and discontent. Everyone has an equal voice when it comes to discussion, that's why we don't have post counts or member since in the postbit.

That thread was passive aggressive, but WooDs wasn't. WooDs spoke her mind and her preferences or mannerisms just seemed to offend people. For Example, if I posted that I really hate stand up comedy people that live in Redneckville, NC the entire TFP would go on a rage about how Eden is such a good person undeserving of my hate. This is where the problem lies, I never said I hated Eden, and if I did hate our Lord Eden, saying it in a back handed way like that would have no consequence nor hold meaning. Like this thread for example, you can imply all sorts of connotations but the only harsh criticism that has been spoken is to the software that runs the board, not exactly any moderator.
