Facebook and TFP

My current computer settings have Facebook listed as a trusted site. For some reason, everytime I do anything in TFP, I get this message:

It begins as soon as I access the site and doesn't stop. Why is TFP trying to access Facebook?

It's because you can use Facebook connect to log into TFP. If you haven't logged in using Facebook connect, it's just because TFP loads the cookie each time. It doesn't do anything unless you log in using that method though.

hmmmm thanks for letting me know about this.

It should only do that if you've clicked on the facebook connect. otherwise it should lay dormant.

what browser are you using? and OS?

This issue cleared up for about a week and started again two days ago. Anything I can do to stop this?

So I am the only one that gets a security warning that TFP is trying to access Facebook everytime I switch pages?

I don't recall anyone else complaining about it, and this is the first time you've brought it up. FBConnect has been installed since fall of last year.
What browser and security apps are you using? I know which sites are requesting fbconnect access because of Ghostery a FF plugin.

This isn't the first time I brought it up. You replied to a post I started in the Support forum last year but the issue was never resolved.

moved the posts to a more relevant location.

I apologize for not remembering it was you that originally complained about this. Okay, I found your original post, I also did not see the post in September.

Here is the solution I found, please read completely before changing any of your settings.

Quote:
'The current Web page is trying to open a site in your Trusted sites list'

This message is most likely to occur for users browsing the Internet with IE v7, after IE security updates have been applied that change the Internet, Local Intranet, and Trusted zone settings. For example, customers may see the following message when using Transparent-Mode Auto-Login:

Note: If using DNS Auto-Login, the "Trusted site:" value will be the iPrism hostname instead of IP address.
The message above does not prevent Internet access, but may be annoying to users. Users may simply reset IE to default security settings using "Reset all zones to default level".

Alternatively, you may also check the following setting as a means of resolving the messaging.
In IE v7, go to Tools > Internet Options > Security > select Trusted Sites > click Custom Level to view the browser settings. "Websites in less privileged web content zone ..." could be set to "prompt". You may want to change the setting to enable or disable instead.
