...i can't post a photo there. It has to do with how many posts we've got and the level we've been given. You're at the "upright" level but i've moved on to "insane" and then to "crazy" and i still can't. Sorry gals, you're missing out on a hot photo of a yummy guy with a precariously slipping swimsuit at the beach...almost full-monty
(had to post my tool-belt guy in the ladies lounge)

...i see you're very new...nice to meet you

I don't know why you can't. Nothing in the system is prohibiting you from doing so.

MF - you have to have a minimum amount of posts to create a thread there. It keeps the spammers from trying to sell us viagra since that subforum is their most likely target. Keep posting responsibly, and it will happen very quickly.

Shell - you have had the ability to post pictures for quite a while now. I'm guessing that you're doing something wrong, but without knowing what error message you're getting, I don't know what exactly that is. However, GenuineGirly has written a great tutorial on it:

http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/tilted-...cture-tfp.html

And remember that the Testing Board is your friend.

MinorFatality: Can you describe what exactly happens? What message do you get? You should be able to create a new thread. Are you trying to include a link or image in your thread? You haven't quite earned that access yet (sorry, we have to set a requirement to keep out spammers). If not, I'm not sure why you can't post.

Shell: How are you trying to post an image, and what happens when you try? You have far more than the required history to do so.

Based on what I see now, is that MF tried to post a thread with links in it. MF should have gotten an error that stated he has to have 15 posts to post a thread with links or images.

No attachments in EZ. If you want to post pictures there you'll have to find somewhere else to host them and then link to them.

Attachments aren't the same thing as putting photos in your posts.

example of putting a photo into a post

[IMG]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v141/cynthetiq/Print_Cheerleader.jpg[/IMG]

adding an attachment is differnt. It means I can attach a photo or file.
Attached Images
File Type: jpg 5-22-2009 2-47-22 PM.jpg (36.6 KB, 86 views)
Attached Files
File Type: pdf UNRESTRICTEDsample.pdf (9.0 KB, 3 views)

It really has to do with total amount of storage, eventually our hard drives get full and we have to purge those things. If it's hosted elsewhere that has much more server space, it's much friendlier to our hardware and our systems. It really shouldn't be available to all areas, it was probably overlooked when I did the last upgrade.

re: photobucket, actually we have a little mod that you can use here that embeds the last 6 images or allows you to upload your images to photobucket.

You can join either public group image shack or photobucket.

It's not too much trouble for me, or BadNick, or ring, or even unclephil, the only other posters that I can think of that post more pictures than me. I like that it has more than enough bandwidth to accommodate my incessant picture-posts, so that helps.

Even mixedmedia may have one, though flickr is a viable alternative if you wish to post more pictures that run the line of "risque" material.

TFP Attachments for me always seem to break after a day or two... I think I know why it is, but I try to host my pictures more securely elsewhere, and not waste the boards resources and space.

An aside to any admins and Halx: Is there any plans to reinstate the HTML code again for long-time members?

upon furthing thinking about it, it should be the other way around, you should be able to use attachments in EZ because some places won't allow you post your own naked images, photobucket etc have TOS violations for pornographic or controversial images, and not upload photos in the other forums but have to use outside systems.

another thing to put on my todo list.

No there isn't. What I did do recently is enable the WYSIWYG editor up on the top right side of the advanced editor. Click on it and you can cut paste other pages that normally would be HTML, it converts it to BBCode simply and easily.

Tim Hortons' Timbits Are Here

The Munchkins' arch-rival (Jen Carlson/Gothamist)

NEXT »

The Big Apple arrival of Canadian fast food chain Tim Hortons was heralded in by free coffee and a people dressed in giant-sized Tim Hortons cup costumes. One reader recounted the scene at 7th Avenue and 50th Street, "Dunkin has hired people to stand outside the store and hand out $1 coupons in retaliation. The donut wars are on, baby! Inside, the store exceeded my expectations from rule-bending shady-operator Riese. Excellent buildout, flatscreen TVs, as good as anything in Gravenhurst or Cobourg or London. Mob scene was very polite (half the customers were Canadian, after all) and there were 20+ staff trying to handle the rush, including a crew of Tim Hortons training managers brought down from Canada." [Speaking of the donut war, check out the Today Show segment about Tim Hortons in NYC after the jump.]
Another reader chimed in, "There were longish lines this morning at the UES location. The coffee was as good as ever but they didn't have maple donuts!" It's also unclear whether some products are being offered (such as the Dutchie) or if they were just sold out.
We visited the Penn Station concourse location and purchased a box of Timbits, TH's donut hole option. We did our homework over the weekend and had some Dunkin Donuts' Munchkins, and, in this extremely unscientific comparison, we say the Timbits are much better: They seemed fresher (very possibly because the store opened with a big fuss this morning) and have a lighter, less dense texture; they also seemed a bit larger than the standard Munchkin. And, unfortunately, they are addictive, probably because sugar is the devil.

I'd love to be to test this feature.

Does this "WYSIWYG editor" work within all forums, or is there a reason I cannot see the option to test it here?

Does it have a distinct button to idenitfy it as well, because in the top-right of the editor box, all that shows for me is the ability to elongate or shorten the white text space.

It's set from your profile options to at least have access to that button I think.

Sorry, I'm lumping in Exhibition into the EZ. It's Exhibition that allows for uploading attachments. Whew! Thanks Pony! Brain is boggled at the moment.
