New member problems?
I have a friend that joined today, he is telling me that he is unable to reply to posts, make posts he can't even edit his profile. I've been around for a long time now I might have missed if there are any new member policies in place but I wanted to check and see if this is normal or if something is wrong. Thanks.

you generally need to respond to an email when the account is created... did your friend get the email?
it would also be helpful to PM your friend's user name to either na Admin or a Moderator to look into it further... |
He said that he didn't get a email or anything to verify. He is able to log in but not able to post or reply. His username is "kevinfwb", i just checked the member list and it's not showing up. I didn't PM a Admin, because I didn't want to bother them if it was a mistake on our side or something that he simply missed.

As of this point in time, the board shows he has not replied to his confirmation email. Have him check his spam folder and make sure it didn't end up there or in a junk mail folder for his email addy.
If it's not there, then let us know, I think an admin can resend that email. |
Did he change his email right after he joined?
If he did, PM me and I'll be able to fix it. |
Thanks for the help with getting kevin on. I hate to bother you any more but I know two other people that are having the same problem. jed03d and mutedmind are also having the same problem. Both told me that they got the activation email, and I even saw one of them click on the link and it pulled up a blank page, and seemed to not activate their account.

Activation emails resent. Have them give that a try.

Sorry for the delay, I just checked with them and it seems like they didn't get the activation. I had them both check their junk mail and double check everything else. No clue.
