tilted education?

I am always looking for new ways to post questions about school, from educational questions, like history, science, and math. A way to expand knowledge, and find answers to tough school questions. That would be fun to moderate for me!

Like any other forum we look to see if there is a lot of interest before we start a seperate board.
Post on the subject in general discussion and see what the reactions are.

tilted education

I have an idea for a new titled forum, it's the only thing I think TFP is missing... (philosophy section sort of works), but being a lover of learning and knowledge... I figure we need a "titled education" type forum. Maybe called "Titled Knowledge" or something. Where in general people can talk about math, science, history, you name it. A place to discuss... education.

Vote for it!

Please see http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/showthr...threadid=9722.

You might want to consider the "how-to" forum that is already there.

We might want to just expand on that forum's idea,
rather than developing a new one.

but it is something to think about.

I will bring it up to Halx and the admins.

I like the idea of seperating how to, as in fix it/repair from knowledge because essentially they have little to do with each other.

My idea for the forum is more about knowledge, a sort of home-work help type idea.

tilted knowledge

I have posted an idea in the suggestions area, and I need your general opinions on it.

My suggestions revolve around creating a new forum, like the Philosophy section but expanded... I think it could be called Tilted Education or Tilted Knowledge, a forum for students of all trades to dicuss questions. Threads on science, math, history, literature, anything common to scholastic settings... a sort of "home-work" zone if you will...

what do you think?

as long as its a place someone can go for help... ie post c++ code and get help tracking down bugs and whatnot...
or to have a paper critiqued and edited... or have math stuff explained...

but we wouldnt want the "ill mail someone $20 if they do my paper/project/assignment for me"

I'd definately be interested in a Knowledge section... dunno how much help I'd be answering questions, but I'm sure I've got a few from time to time that I could ask.

it would not be purely about answering directly, but also providing a good idea of where answers can be found.

This sounds like a good idea to me.

That way threads like this, posted in the general discussion don't end up at the bottom before someone has time to respond.

Can anyone let me know on the status of this? What can I do to help get this going?

Hey Halx, can I lobby you?

As someone currently working hard in college to earn my degree, I am always seeking ways to expand my knowledge. I LOVE trying to help other because I learn more that way. I would really love to do my best on a board like that...
