WYSIWYG message editor interface
Hello. Why doesn't TFP support WYSIWYG? The only one that has it that I visit is HardForum and it feels so different going from WYSIWYG to Standard a lot. It would make things so much easier IMO.
I just love editing my messages that way. There are no popup boxes except for http and picture, and all I gotta do is copy/paste the link and it finishes it off for me. Or I can highlight a word anywhere in my message and turn it into a link in 3 seconds. Standard always puts it at the end and if you have a lot of links, it can get really confusing. Anyways, is TFP not compatible or something with this mode? Has it been considered or requested? Just curious. - Undercover_Man |

Highlighting a phrase and clicking insert hyperlink works for me. It adds the tags around the phrase, not at the end. And what are those popup boxes you are talking about??

Yeah, but you see coding. If you got maybe colors and a quote and some pics and bulleted list and some links to other places, then you'd have a lot of coding all over the place. It'd be a mess. With WYSIWYG, you have NO coding. It's all hidden with your formatting already applied. Think of it like a live preview. You don't have to preview all the time cause it's all right there on the screen. That's what I love about WYSIWYG. And there are no drawbacks, if you don't like it, just switch to one of the other editor interfaces. - Undercover_Man |
