Tilted Employment
This could help others with employment related tips for:
interview techniques résumés marketing networking etc. I work in this field helping others get jobs. Other members may also work in this field. Above all, everyone can draw from their experiences to help others get the job they want. It could also be a good place to let others know about work coming up in their area or field. Obviously we would have to look at confidentiality, no liability, and security of members, but I believe it could be of help. Any comments to support ???(or want to shoot me down in flames!!!) |
I was actually thinking somethig along the same times... Tilted Working- basically how to get on in the workplace -- including how to find a job... interviewing and such... (Most of which is already in Tilted Living - -but sometimes finds it's way into General Discussion)
Using it as a job posting place or a place about leads for a job, should be handled offline rather than an online environment. |
Job leads could be handled via PM, if both members know that each other is interested. Might be hard to do, but...
This would also cut down on the occasional vent thread in Members. Not that I'm against those threads, but they'd be organized better. I guess. |
Glad to see some members interested in this.
The job leads part is a hard one due to privacy but if people knew of big projects coming up, a steer in the right direction is always helpful. Well, let's see what others think. |
I like maleficent's idea: A general work-related forum, rather than specifically employment-related.
|
Another vote for this idea.
|
I'd be willing to put my name on the sheet if somebody were to, hypothetically, pass it around.
|
I think it's an interesting idea. And having a place specifically for work related posts might increase the posts on that topic.
|
I vote yes for the idea too. I'm an unemployed post - college student and could use some help.
