Subscribe to people
If you admire a person's writing skills or wisdom, or they are a friend and you would like to read all of their posts it would be good if you could subscribe to their posts.
I realise this could be insecure and help people to "stalk" other people but maybe there could be a system that works like: 1. User A requests to subscribe to user B's posts by clicking a link in their profile or somewhere else 2. User B is sent a message or otherwise informed that user A would like to subscribe to them and is offered the option of disallowing the subscription or allowing it 3. If B allows it, user A is informed of user B's new posts just like other subscriptions (Possible) 4. User B gains in "popularity". |
1: click person's username
2: click "find more posts by this user" |
What? Every time? *sigh*

Or use this link to find all posts by welshbyte

Hehe ok good point

Actually, there used to be a really easy way to do what you're suggesting. [Well... not exactly; minus the subscriptions] There used to be buttons underneath the posts that had a quick post search to them. Every style is missing them. :(

oldtimer: that's hidden under the person's username. One of those vBulletin upgrades that I consider to be a downgrade. And that username dropdown doesn't even have 'read my journal'.

The coding time is best spent keeping the site operational. Sorry, but it's probably not going to happen anytime soon.

Well no probs, i've already gone off the idea after the feedback hehe. Thanks anyway :)

If you ever do implement this, you should add it as a link under the username that says, "Stalk this person. Ch-ch-ch-ch Haw-haw-haw-haw. Ch-ch-ch-ch Haw-haw-haw-haw."
