How 'bout a notice detailing NO FLAME/NO RULES forums?

I've recently noticed things of this nature being suggested here. Why not end it once and for all with the current threads made merged into one notice explaining why the forum is not needed.

I thought this forum explained it pretty well

, yeah. I know about that. But this is not for newbies. And, I should've specifically mentioned what I thought would've been assumed: To have the notice posted here [further broken down: right here in the Tilted Suggestions forum].

I hope everyone understands now. :)

for anyone with half a brain who knows how to use it, they can peruse the myriad other threads detailing the explicit answer to such requests and the reasons why. if that is beyond some people, then society as we know it is doomed.

Besides, you're then betting that the people asking for it would 1) even see it, and 2) even care.

It would just end up being a thread of over a hundred posts that will sadly never die. It's more fun just to stomp every one to death when they pop up :)

i like giving people who ask for such a thing a flat, blunt answer so as to further emphasize the fact that we don't want that shit here.

I have a lot of faith in that.

*Should've mentioned this

It'd be nice to have a notice in Tilted Suggestions detailing the No Flame/No Rules forum, not limiting it to what else can not also be suggested that has been repeated a great deal many times, if any.
Example coming to mind would be: Why can't we delete our own posts?.

Been answered a great deal many times. Why we don't create a kind of FAQ notice in Tilted Suggestions/Support detailing these things? [I could even help compile it.] *Of course, you could lock them to prevent further discussion. But if they were in a much more visible position our search challenged friends would almost negate the possibility of posting it all over again.

Is my argument sound?

Yeah, I hear ya Hal. But it would be nice to walk in here and see real, original suggestions without useless clutter.

Ok...ok....I know why you don't want one.
I only thought it would of been somewhat amusing to read what others may write. It doesn't matter. I guess it's better if the forum does not exsist.

Newbies don't read notices. They also tend to miss the newbies forum a lot.

I believe they have a better chance and have the right not to be underestimated *here [*in the field of reading notices].

And in respect, please provide better titles than PLEASE READ [and the failed etc.] to elict a better response in grabbing the reader's attention. Even if you have to, be as wordy as possible.

Last point: If even by some miniscule chance they happen to miss it. You could quickly refer them to the proposed notice [which would ideally have all the threads merged contained to the related subject so that in hopes it [the notice] may cover all bases. In the event, you [TFP staff] are still skeptical you could always inculde at the bottom of the first post in the notice that: In the event this thread fails to address all your misconceptions or questions about this subject feel free to PM me or [insert another valued staff member] if you fail to get the responses you desire you may only then contact Halx or an Administrator from the list.

A little creativity goes a long way, I always say.

I agree with that! That tends to go without saying, though... Nobody wants to be a newbie.
