View New Threads - testing board

I have noticed that the View New Threads option on the main page excludes such forums as the Titty Board and the Links Board. This makes good sense, and I appreciate it.

I was wondering if it would also make sense to exclude the Testing Board? People aren't looking to start discussions there.

Yeah, that was a thoughtful feature.

Would it be possible to set up a special page in the User CP where you could enable or disable threads from your own handpicked forums? For instance, I don't personally play much in the Nonsense Forum and I'd like to be able to turn it off.

Good idea chap, but i bet that would be a lot of work. Though, it would be cool...

Just checking, was there a good reason that my initial suggestion wasn't good? The admins usually give good reasons that point out something that I missed, but there were no admin comments in this thread.

I can't think of anything that you might have missed. Actually, it sounds pretty good to me.

I came here looking for something like this. A very good idea.
Maybe have the nonsense board ignored as well.

Sometimes after being real busy and not having time to stop in you can get a lot of pages of new posts piled up. The nonsense ones often get in the way, and occasionally lure me in under the idea that it was a sensable post. Certainly isn't to big a deal, just a thought.

I really enjoy the Nonsense board, so I'd rather that not be the default. Perhaps if Sledge's idea (see above) were implemented... but that would be a lot of work, probably.
