we should have some kind of notice which alerts us automatically when a new member arrives. This way we can generate attitudes of respect and friendship.

hmm... I'm not sure how practical that would be.

I mean, this is a fairly big site with a lot of members. Would you suggest everyone gets PMed when a new member signs up? That could be quite frustrating for those who don't check their PMs often.

Or maybe you mean a post here with like a weekly list of new members?

That could be more practical, but then wouldn't it be better if they introduced themselves?

And don't forget about the number of people who sign up looking for boobies, don't find them, and leave forever without ever posting.

If you look at the top left of the Index page, it says "Welcome to our newest member, " and then the name of the newest member. You can also click on the http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/images/...op_members.gif button, then on the "List by date joined" link to find the most recent members who have joined. :)

yeah you obviously have overestimated people, they suck
