how about a button that, when clicked, takes you to a random thread somewhere in the vast expanses of the TFP?

sometimes I am bored and dont know what forum to read. at such times a random thread button would be perfect.

This does sound interesting to me. I often find myself browsing threads from searches which have gone awry. There are some very interesting topics out there that would be very tough to find just by browsing.

Sounds cool. It may be an idea to have an individual button in each section (I mean broadly - chatter, interests, utility etc), just to ensure you don't end up with a thread in the wayside or the TB if you didn't want to. Then again, I suppose it could just be restricted to choosing a random, non-erogenous zone thread, which would hopefully get a few more people interested in the more (or possibly less, in the case of nonsense!) sensible parts of TFP...
