A message board feature I like.
I have no idea what this is called so I could not think of a way to search for it. So my apologies if it has been covered.
Some of the other forums I browse have a nice feature I like. When you move the cursor over a subject header a paragraph or two of the first post will show up next to your cursor. I've found it to be a nice and handy feature. It is sometimes very nice to see the firt bit of a new thread without opening it up. I suppose this could very easily be that I'm a lazy bastard sometimes. Jdoe |

hmm..
i think this would be helpful as well. It could easily be done by adding an attribute to the link created by the php query called "title" or "alt" i believe; Then have it set to 10 or 15 characters pulled from the php message field. Im not sure if vbb lets you do that, but it wouldnt be terribly hard to impliment, at least in theory.. Let's see what Halx has to say about it. |

I don't think there is a problem - as long as the subject heading is informative to the thread.
Then you get the threads like these (and not from Tilted Nonsense): would you? Need your help! ????? These don't offer any insight onto the discussion that is inside. The subject line should be the subject of the topic. Simple as that.
