Quit logging me off!
OK..here is the deal...I posted this on the old board, so maybe a mod will recognize it....I spent a lot of time typing a well thought out interesting thread, only to find that when I went to post it, I have been logged out. I'm not talking about spending like 20 minutes on it or anything, more like 5 minutes. It gets really frustrating when this happens. I also believe it promotes a rushed post or thread... I wanted to know if there was any we Halx or somebody could add an option in the user options to maybe avoid this. Some kind of Log out option.
I would like to remain on the board for 5 minutes without leaving while observing a thread, or creating one or 10 min. or 15 min. see what I mean....My other question is that, is this not an option because of bandwidth usage. If people aren't being active on the board but are still logged on, does that suck bandwidth..Also tell me if my idea sucks, or if I'm the only one experiencing this problem...thankyou for help in advance.

Make sure that cookies and other similar settings are on in your user cp - that's the only problem I can think of.

To check if cookies are enable in your browser, click on tools>internet options. Its in there.
If this doesn't solve it, not sure what to tell you. But it is a problem that is on your end. I've left windows open for days and not been logged out. And being a mod/admin has nothing to do with that. So check your settings. However if this persists, there is a trick. When you hit the send button, and it brings you to the login page, login like normal. Then, hit the back button a few times until you return to the page where you were typing that thesis statement, and re click send. It'll submit the post like you were logged in the whole time. This way you won't have to retype the whole post.
