Increasing the number of threads per page?
I've noticed that in several forums (tilted nonsense, most notably) that alot of threads move on to the second page (where they essentially die) before I get a chance to view them.
Maybe I should just check TFP every day (or check the second page more often), but I don't always get the chance. In GD, minus the Notices, there are 40 posts. If the number were increased to (60?) we could see messages up to two days back. For instance, in Tilted Nonsense, minus notices and the regular games, there are only 23 posts on the first page. In General Discussion, all threads on the first page have been posted in today. I know that you can always check the second page, but I don't often do, and I'm guessing alot of others don't either. If the first page had more threads, I think boards like TN would be better off because you could see more than just the twenty-three posts - and there may be more activity. I just think that if threads are on the first board for more than one day they have the best chance of growing. Or I could be wrong. Just my two cents. User CP > Edit Options > ... uhh.. Y'know, there used to be an option so you could change that. Looks like it hasn't been put back in. We'll toss this over to the admins and see if they can stick it in again
