With the growing popularity of poker I think this would have strong activity. I know I could talk hours on poker myself =)

For anything to have it's own unique forum, the subject has to be taking over another forum or area of the board. The demand has to be there. I'd say you could talk about poker in sports and see where that goes. If it gets enough attention and starts overwhelming the sports forum then the mods will take a look at it and go from there.

I actually considered that but figured it would start up the "its not a sport" debate. Which I actually agree with... just because it's on ESPN (Entertainment and Sports Programming Network) doesn't make it a sport.

Anywho, I may give it a go =)

i agree, as an avid poker player for the past 10 years, a forum (Even if a trial basis) would be sweet. Talk about missed or made hands, tournaments coming up in different areas, favorite players, favorite casinos or poker clubs, and maybe even tfp poker meet ups!!!
