With Larry Johnson, Tony Gonzalez, Trent Green and that offensive line, the Chiefs should be in good shape. If Edwards gets them to play defense, watch out.

Yeah..... good luck with that one. No seriously, the Chiefs definitely have potential, but I think the Jets are far from a lost cause. I mean we're talking about a team that was just absolutely decimated by injury. I mean c'mon guys, Brooks freaking Bollinger? Give me a break. That being said, probably a wise career move for Edwards.

It seems weird to me that the Jets let him go for only a 4th round draft pick. I seem to remember the Bucs having to give up a lot more to get John Gruden from the Raiders.

If that's the case, then perhaps his value was only that of a 4th rounder. Also, did the Jets agree to a 4th round pick or was it imposed upon them by someone with the league? I thought I heard something on SportsCenter about that.

I am a big Jet fan.. and I am very disappointed in what Herm did to the Jets..
I mean.. wtf.. he leads a 6-10 season, followed with a 4-12 season, and left because he couldnt get an extension from the owner? C'mon! get a winning season and then ask for one! Last time we gave him an extension, it was after a losing season, but on trust! And from what I've heard, he asked for close to 5mil a yr! JEEBUS! he got a 12mil 4yr deal fomr KC.. def. wanted to go there... And all this about being in the upper echelon of coaches, I loved Herm for his emotion and motivation.. but as an x's and o's guy.. this guy is THE worst! couldnt manage the clock or his time outs, and he hasnt had a good draft pick other than Jonathan Vilma!... I mean.. 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005... Robertson, bust, Bryan Thomas, bust, Santana gone, these are FIRST rounders! cmon... I hope we can land Mangini from the Pats.. I think he'll be a much better coach... As for the 4th rbd pick, I think the Jets were lucky enough to get him, since its apparant that Herm didnt want to stay, and by then the Jets couldnt have brought him back.. so instead of firing him and getting nothing, a 4th round pick is good enough.. KC will see what Herm can do.. he'll give you the "Play to win the game" speech, but in the game, he'll burn 2 timeouts in the 3rd quarter.. or save them all until there's less than 30 seconds left in the game.. I hope we can keep our coordinators tho.. Herm's keeping his d-coordinator from KC.. so as long as our coordinators dont take head coaching jobs.. looks like we might keep them Now who do the Jets draft?.. I mean, Bush, Leinart, and Young are projected to be the top 3, but from 4, its all open... and 4 is the Jets ... we need a coach to start thinking..
