Dylan, I would like to salute your outstanding efforts in keeping track of the pickums. I know it has to be a lot of work and its much appreciated.

Thanks, Crewsor, but it's really not that big of a deal. Once the spreadsheet is set-up, it's easy to keep track of everything. Ahhhh, the wonders of Excel. :D

boom29 11-17-2005 10:17 AM

Hard to believe this is your first win Crewsor, considering you are leading. Also, nobody has won more than once. Good stuff.

Esen 11-20-2005 05:37 AM

Thanks a lot Dylan, great job

dylanmarsh 11-22-2005 08:02 AM

*Bump*

The standings are now updated thru Week 11. Somehow Crewsor is in first place here, while sitting in tie for dead last in the TFP Fantasy Football League. Go figure.

Glory's Sun 11-22-2005 08:12 AM

god week 11 killed me

stupid fucking colts and their stupid fucking offense.... it's time for them to lose already

tspikes51 11-22-2005 09:12 AM

Yes, everybody be extra good this week and say your prayers for Ben and the Steelers.

dylanmarsh 11-29-2005 09:08 AM

*Bump*

Crewsor maintains his lead but only by 3 points over the new second place holder and Week 12 winner, AVoiceofReason.

I'm snake-bit in that league this year. My first 3 draft picks are all cripples , but I have scored more points than than the 4th place team.(You?) Yet I have 2 wins to his 7.

Yea, it works out that way sometimes. I don't think anyone saw Culpepper or Dillon being so ineffective this year. I'm just glad I drafted Larry Johnson in the 12th round to salvage my season.

Also, I'm not really sitting pretty in 4th place, either. When I set up the league I f-ed up and didn't establish a playoff round. So, it appears that the first place team is going to win the whole damn thing.

I was thinking more along the lines of you and me split all of the points of the people who haven't participated week in and week out. :D

No playoffs... That sux, although I guess I should be grateful to be put out of my misery that much sooner.

hey that works for me :D

Congrats to Giant Hamburger for winning week 13.

Crewsor maintains a 3 point lead over AVoiceofreason, while Giant Humburger sits in 3rd having leap-frogged BonesCPA.

grumpyolddude 12-06-2005 02:21 PM

13 weeks, 13 winners... thanks to that lame-ass eagle offense.

Thanks DM, your excel rules!

No wonder I've got mustard and ketchup all over me.

Congrats to Cross-Over for winning week 14.

Crewsor's lead shrunk by one point after week 14's results, but still maintains his seemingly season long stanglehold over first place.

grumpyolddude 12-15-2005 08:54 AM

Things are tightening up!
Can anyone recap how the playoffs have been handled? (The memory is the second thing to go, y'know.)

maximusveritas 12-15-2005 01:41 PM

I can't remember too well either, but I think we did it similarly to the actual playoffs. So we'd have top 4 or so seeds getting byes during the Wild Card games and the other 8 or so going head to head. I'm sure someone else remembers.

dylanmarsh 12-15-2005 03:59 PM

This is how we did it last year: http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/showthread.php?t=80062

I remember it working well enough last year. However, this year since we have exactly 16 people who have picked week in and week out, perhaps we should cut it down a bit for the playoffs? I've added a poll to this thread and I'll follow the group's decision on how we should handle it.

djtestudo 12-15-2005 05:23 PM

I voted for 16, but the top 14 should DEFINATELY be involved :D

maximusveritas 12-15-2005 06:32 PM

I voted for 12, just because I think it would be cool to give the top 4 guys a bye to reward them for their good picks throughout the season. But since I'm not one of the top 4, I don't care too much.

crewsor 12-15-2005 06:32 PM

16 sounds ok to me. That would allow everyone who faithfully picked to have a chance.

tspikes51 12-16-2005 12:59 AM

Well, seeing as I'm 15th, I voted for 16. But whatever's fine with me...

AVoiceOfReason 12-16-2005 07:38 AM

I voted for the top 12, just like the NFL, but won't get my briefs in a bunch any way it goes.

BonesCPA 12-19-2005 01:33 PM

Before reading commments, I stuck with the purist's attitude and said 16. Of course I can see the benefit of the 12 player option. It does match the NFL format. (Of course I wouldn't want anyone to loose out that huge prize!)

dylanmarsh 12-20-2005 08:00 AM

Despite djtestudo tying it up with the Ravens' absurd win over the Pack, Boom29 wins week 15 on a tie-breaker have picked closer to the final combined score.

Week 16's picks, like Week 15, need to be in before Saturday's games begin. There are only two games on Sunday due to Christmas, so make sure you don't blow your season by missing out.

dylanmarsh 12-27-2005 09:58 AM

cheezhead wins week 16 with 12 points.

The bigger news is, however, that Crewsor finally dropped out of first place with AVoiceofReason taking a 2 point lead. Also, BonesCPA evidentially drank too much egg nog and forgot to pick any games for Week 16 and nearly dropped out of the top 10.

As was the case for weeks 15 and 16, there are games on Saturday for week 17. Make sure and get your picks in before Saturday or risk losing two points right off the top.

Also, on Monday morning I will announce the seedings for the this year's TFP playoff. If there is a tie in the seedings, it will be broken as follows:

1. Number of weeks won
2. Total number of points week 17
3. Total number of points week 16
4. Total number of points week 15
... and so on, until there is a break.

We will be following the same playoff rules as last year. For details, click here:

Hope BonesCPA is okay. I suspect he's sandbagging for a favorable first round match-up! :D

boom29 12-27-2005 08:01 PM

I didn't realize I won week 15. Yey me!! :)

Football? What's football?

Fell asleep at the wheel. I made my picks in two other pools, but forget the TFP until about three or four minutes into game time on Saturday.

It doesn't matter who I'm matched up with in any round - they are in for some trouble!

dylanmarsh 01-02-2006 08:32 AM

Proving to be a force to be reckoned with, cheezhead wins week 17 with 11 points.

I'll be posting week one of the playoffs soon. The rankings above will correspond to the seedings for the playoffs. Based on the playoff poll we conducted, there will be 16 players going against one another with the 1 seed playing the 16 seed, 2 versus 15, 3 versus 14, and so on. Make sure you read the rules carefully before picking as things will be slightly different in the playoff format.

Oh, and congrats to AVoiceofReason for winning the regular season title. You are the Colts of TFP Pick 'Em. I have a feeling cheezhead will be the Patriots, however.

You mean he'll have a back-up 40-something quarterback dropkicking?

Ok, I can deal with that!

cheezhead 01-02-2006 04:33 PM

Congrats to AVoiceofReason ! WTG! LOL dylanmarsh and thanks for keeping track all season.

I second that. Congrats AvoiceofReason, and a big, big THANK YOU to Dylanmarsh for picking up the pool and taking control. Brad Johnson style.

grumpyolddude 01-03-2006 06:48 AM

Yep! Regardless of the outcome of the playoffs, Dylanmarsh has earned the MVP! Thanks a ton!
