The Ultimate Fighter: Season 2
I can't believe there wasn't a thread about this, I searched Ultimate Fighter and nothing came up, so here I go. If I am wrong, someone please tell me.
Has anyone been watching the new season? It didn't start out that great, but there have been some good fights and some good fighters to get into that ring this season. I want to go ahead and talk about some of the fighters and the upcoming finals on Saturday, so if you haven't seen the show, you may want to look up some info or catch some reruns. Luke Cummo is awesome. He is an intelligent guy, a little on the strange side, but definitely not your average ultimate fighter (no offense). I think his best fight was with Sammy. They went back and fourth and I was scared for Luke, but he was victorious. Best fight this season if you ask me. He was last picked and now up for becoming the winner of the show (in the Welter weight division). Interesting fact about Luke, before he was on the show he had lost one time. It was to Josh "The Blanket" Kaschek, before Josh was on the first Ultimate Fighter. Seeing as how Josh was a wrestler and so is Joe, Luke's upcoming opponent in the finals, I hope Luke's previous experience is not an indication of how this will end. The heavyweights went down the same way. Now we have Brad Imes who was picked last and is going to be in the finals. I want to say he doesn't deserve it, because going into the show he didn't have any skills just size. He still doesn't really have any skill, but he showed determination and he earned his place. Rashad has made a come back. After his first fight, I didn't expect him to make it anywhere. However, he was really good in his last fight. What do you guys think of this show? This season compared to last? Some people thought Matt was an ass, I liked him . What do you think? Anyone not like Luke? |

Great show, I've been watching it since the beginning. Matt is a great coach, he has a Mike Keenan style where he doesn't care if he pisses offf his team.
I agree last season was better. Luke was my favorite from the beginning, simply because he was picked last, and I like to cheer for the underdog. I missed the finale last night so I'm off to find it to download.

I watched both last season and this season. I think last season was a little better, but this season wasn't bad. I thought Hughes was an ass. I really liked Luke and wanted him to win the contract - I actually thought he did much better than Joe in that fight, and I'm convinced that if it had gone another round, Luke would have knocked Joe out. He was a better fighter and his conditioning was better than Joe. I didn't really have a favorite in the heavyweight division - most of the fights were decent, and I thought Rashad really earned his win. Four fights...

I didn't stay up on this season has much as I would have liked too. By and large though I am a big UFC fan, and Matt Hughes is one of my favorite fighters. I liked his mentality as a coach as well, I like the cutthroat on your ass style. As for this season of the reality show, I agree 100% that last season was better, and I can say that not having seen all the episodes. Forrest and Bonner was an AMAZING fight, Florian is an amazing fighter, Lieben douche bag or night is amazing... maybe that's an idea season 1 v. season 2.
