Who supports your team?
CommonCensus Sports Map Project
This is part of another project to make maps of areas people identify with, and as part of it to show what sports teams people in different areas support. Looks like a very interesting idea, especially when you see the maps already made up.

115 people did pick Oakland. Oakland isn't showing up on the map because each pixel is colored based on the plurality of the 50 nearest votes. Apparently the 49ers have more votes in the same general area so the map is colored 49ers.

Hmmm.... this further proves my point about the Sox/Yanks thing being out of hand. Check out how much of the US is covered by the Sox. Hell, the state of Colorado is divided in half, even though they have their own damn team.
It also helps reinforce another 2 opinions of mine: 1) The Big Ten is the best football conference. 2) Most U of Kentucky fans are retards (don't worry, I am one). They don't care (and most don't know) that over 100 years of football have only turned up 6 bowl appearances (I think, it may be less). Most of them still think Tim Couch has a shot at being a Super Bowl MVP. They have no working knowledge of any sport other than basketball, and most don't even have that.
