Fantasy Basketball Question thread....
It appears fairly clear to me, that many people here play fantasy basketball. So I thought it might be nice with Draft days looming, maybe we should have a thread for any possible questions. Or at the very least another outlet for us deprived basketball fans eagerly awaiting the season another reason to talk about hoops.
So here is my question. I got dicked and am the 4th overall pick. Now to me (and most people) it's obvious there are 3 clear cut first round picks KG, Marion, and LB. In the interest of being well rounded I am stuck between going with either AK47 or Kobe, leaning towards AK because of all the cats he produces.

I would disagree that Marion is that high, simply because much of what he does doesn't show up in the stat sheet. And Shaq has to be up there somewhere, simply because the centers in the NBA outside of Shaq are so atrocious.
If Kobe's around, grab him without a second thought. As much as I dislike him, he can definately play. And he will be going into overdrive trying to rehabilitate his image. I could easily see 30/7/7 from him, with about 2 steals per game thrown in. I would say grab Shaq if he's around just to dominate the center position, but at this point you can't be sure how many games he will give you. |

Yeah Kobe is looking more enticing to me, only draw back is if he gets injured, or where his heart is at when the end of the season starts rolling around and the Lakers aren't in contention.
I'm staying as far away from Shaq as possible. His minutes are going to plummet, plus he is guarenteed to miss at least 10 games.

Yeah Arenas should be nice, Hughes gone could affect his assist ratio slightly, and perhaps his shooting % because of a higher burden for scoring.
Don't know if it really matters, but I think it was earlier this week AK shattered his face in practice, broke his nose and messed up his jaw. He won't miss anytime, but anybody else wonder how Goofy Dolf Lundgren will look wearing a protective mask? In my mind I think fantasy teams are only as strong as rounds 3-5. This year has some bold new prospects, but you don't want to get to crazy and go for some sleeper picks that early.
