BASE jumping anyone? (video)
 

I admit, I'm a fan of extreme sports. They sure as heck are more fun to watch than traditional sports like Basketball (with the exception of that Pacers v Pistons BRAWL) since the only requirement of a base jump is 1000 feet or more AND a parachute. That's it. There's an added uncertainty because you're at the mercy of much shorter spaces (as compared to jumping from a plane at 3000 feet).

Hmm. I can't say I really like extreme sports. Then again, I'm just a big wuss.

I'd also like to keep most if not all of my blood inside my body.

As for this, as long as theres enough space for the 'chute to open and nothing like a cliff face to make it collapse or cause other complications, It seems like a decent adrenaline rush. Only far more dangerous than regular sky-diving, since you don't have any time to deal with complications.

exactly. At least with sky-diving you have some freefall time where you can focus before opening your chute. During base jumps, chute trigger time can make a huge difference.

That is one reason i wouldnt try that!! the only time i would use a parachute would be if the plane was going to crash.....!!

Base jumping is impressive this video is crap though!
sorry but the ones I've got are on Video (VHS).
I know how to get files off a DVD onto a computer but not from Video...
