Oakland University makes the NCAA Tourney...OU Alum Roll Call
Am I the ONLY one excited about the Oakland Golden Grizzlies making the NCAA Tournament?
Oakland joined the NCAA Div 1 pool of teams just a few years ago (while I was in attendance there) and made the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament this year by defeating Oral Roberts University last night. So, any other OU Alums on the TFP? (At least ONE of my pools will have Oakland going all the way. What the hell, right?)

Not an alumn, but I've been watching. They played an absolutely brutal non-conference schedule... possilbly the toughest in the nation. They took a lot of terrible beatings... and got tough enough to pull of the huge upset when it counted most. Rawlie Marchall and Courtney Scott are a hell of a combo... and the way that team plays defense is, simply, awesome!
Some of us were talking about maybe driving to Dayton for the play-in game next week. |

Not an alum but my cousin is, and as a Valpo fan I follow the Mid-Con. Incredible upset you guys pulled off, I was lucky to flip it on with 53 seconds left. Oral Roberts fans must still be in shock, that was basically on their home court wasn't it? Should be interesting to see them match up against Maryland in the NIT, and I'll be rooting for you tomorrow night. Finally, I love Greg Conte's hair!!!
