larry brown, mike fratello, paul silas or jeff van gundy
It seems the Cleveland Cavaliers have their pick of coaches - they won't go with Fratello, but they have interviewed Silas and Van Gundy. Larry Brown just quit Philly.
So, if you had your pick, who would you pick? |

Larry Brown hands down. He can obviously work with an anal superstar ( iverson) and I think he did a great job at Philly. It's odd that he quit though. I saw an interview the other day where he said he loved it there and wouldn't want to coach anywhere else except maybe Carolina..but that's out of the window now. Imagine clevland's luck getting LeBron and Brown in the same year.. heh they may actually turn the team around after all

Larry Brown but I hope the Sixers don't release him from his contract or at least extract something from the Cavs or Rockets for his services.
This current Sixers team is his creation. Billy King brought in who Larry wanted and moved who he did not want. To walk out now is typical Larry Brown bullshit but that is who he is, a great coach without the balls or heart to stay the course beyond 5 years. He gave Philly 6 but that is a first. Now maybe Philly can lure Mo Cheeks back. He can do a fine job but he has a bunch of numbskulls in Portland. |

truepac is right about Larry Brown going to the Rockets. He would already have a strong backcourt in place with some decent role players-Yao included.
Hopefully, Mo Cheeks will somehow get back to the Sixers. I never wanted to see him go in the first place. Silas would be perfect for the Cavs. He is a good teacher of the game who doesn't whine in the press a lot (ala Larry Brown), and can be a disciplinarian when need be. I don't care where Van Gundy goes, but I like him in the booth on TNT.

no that I think about it I'm starting to think that Brown will go to the rockets. Brown has been a fan of Yao since the 2000 olympics and he has a better chance of getting to the offseason with the rockets..the only thing that could attract him to clevland is LeBron. and money of course..
