Maryland Terrapins Basketball Website
![]() A buddy of mine has been covering the Terps since just before the season started on a blog called Turtle Soup on the Most Valuable Network. There are site updates quite often and some good banter on the games that you will never find in any newspaper. Since it is a blog, he covers them without apology as a fan and someone who loves the team. As opposed to a traditional site or article you read in the paper, he shares with the true fan the frustration we all know so well if you went to UMD or are a Terp fan. Since the Duke game is today, I thought I would share the site with the fans I know are here at the TFP. Today he posted a breakdown of the Duke game written by former Terp player John Walsh ('91-93). This is the first in a series of articles by former players such as Exree Hipp ('92-'96) and Johnny Rhodes ('92-'96) and maybe a few others. Please stop by the site a couple times and add it to your favorites if you are a fan. If you leave a comment (please do - there is a decent banter on the site) I post under "HARTZ" since that is what my friends called me in college. Most would not know Mondak... Let me know what you think. Site link: http://terpsbasketball.mostvaluablenetwork.com/ John Walsh Duke Breakdown: http://terpsbasketball.mostvaluablen...index.php?p=32

That is a pretty cool site, thanks for the link. I will explore it some more in the future.
Tonight’s game was good, such a huge win for Maryland. At Duke is the most difficult place to play in College Basketball, but Gary Williams has had his squads ready the last several meetings. Two rants about the game though: Referees must stop calling outlandish "charging" calls, and this went both ways. They let the defender literally slide under while the player is airborne, it is absurd. I hate how the "charge" is called in NCAA Men's Basketball. When JJ Redick slipped the ball behind his back on a drive to the basket, Dick Vitale made a comparison to Bob Cousy. Yes, Hall of Famer and tremendous champion Bob Cousy. Bob Cousy was an excellent NBA player, Redick is a shooter. Vitale is off his rocker. |

Vitale is always off his rocker. He said that Battier was the greatest college athlete of all time. What a maroon.
Great game - good for the Terps. The season is right as long as we beat those DBs.

Wouldn't call it "beating the dog crap"...Duke was stone cold from the field all damn game, turnover happy, and poorly coached tonight...and they were STILL in the game with 2 mins left or so when it was 64-64. Bottom line (and kudos) is that UM hit their freebies down the stretch when it counted. Damn blasted Terps ![]()
