Well the Patriots won, and it was close so even though both teams were a little sloppier than they wanted to be, it was an exciting game. The Patriots aren't flashy, but they make plays and just grind out the wins.

McNabb threw 3 INTs, though only 2 mattered. I suppose that's the key stat. Those two turnovers allowed the Patriots to overcome their dismal performance on third down. Outside of third down, the Patriots played a fine offensive game, and rushed for 112 yards at 4 per carry. Brady threw with his typical efficiency, completing nearly 70 percent of his passes, 2 TDs, and no interceptions. The Eagles were hurt by a few factors. Even though they ran a pass heavy offense, putting the ball in McNabb's hands 51 times was excessive. Although Westbrook isn't a pound the football type guy, they should have done more to establish a running game. Though I'd say it wasn't a big factor with the emergence of Greg Lewis, having Todd Pinkston leave the game just as he was hitting his stride struck a blow to the Eagle passing game. Ultimately, the Eagle defense couldn't stop the Patriots when it counted: 4th quarter, in the Super Bowl.

I found the game mostly boring 'cept for the most of the second half.
Anyone else find the comercials even more boring? Only good ones I thought were the FedEx commercial with Bert Reynolds, the mortgage commercial with the dude holding the cat and knife, and the Diet Pepsi with Puff Daddy.

McNabb was pretty sloppy. Throwing those two straight picks down near the goal line even though only one counted really hurt them. The commercials were boring too. Ford's commercials during the Super Bowl have always sucked, but the others were boring too. Godaddy.com was the only one that really pushed at all. I guess everyone was afraid of FCC issues.

On the nose there.... just remember this next year... when Mcnabb gets close again... he isnt a great descision maker. A great athelete yes! but on the other side of the field was a great descision maker who is a good athelete. I dont think either team will be in the superbowl next year since the Pats lost both coordinators and the Eagles are pretenders when it comes to a big game against a good team. My prediction for next year will be the Falcons (yes I said it out loud) vs. the Colts! and the Colts will win... by 30.
