New Angels owner to lower the price of beer. Sobriety surrenders.

`Beer in the bleachers is $8.50. I can go around the corner and get one for a buck-and-half,''

This guy seems cool. I hope he's for real. I'd like to see what this guy can do to improve this team some more.

Excellent.. this guy's sense of humor speaks volumes. I really hope it rubs off on the team and they go far again this year.

Being a HUGE HALO fan and after listening to his Press conference I think he will be good for the future of this team for the fans and the players.

I already see him writing a check to Stoneman saying "make George verrrry unhappy and get us what we need to repeat"

I really hope he gives Der Wiernesukdogs the boot......their hotdogs SUUUUUUUK.especially for what they charge.

LETS GO HALOS!!

I think that every fan over 21 should get a "beer and dog" discount ticket at the gate. Cause you just need to get those two items, and it shouldn't cost over ten bucks for the combo, at least the first time.

Oh, and let them up the price for the sushi trays and the mexican food and the crab cakes. If you go to the ballpark, you don't really need to get a hot dog and beer, I guess. But you shouldn't go looking to scope out the raw fish, either.

I like this new owner. Increasingly, it seems its all about loge this and loge that. But loge's wouldn't exist without a solid fanbase. And that solid fanbase drinks beer and eats a couple hot dogs.

This guy is awesome. My Dad's company has a luxury suite at Edison Field, so I've been to 5 games this year already and what we end up doing is buying a case of Corona for about $100.00 (yes, for 24 beers) from the suite attendant, or about $4 per beer, which is way cheaper than the $8.50 they charge for Bud Light or Bud, but still I hope they lower the prices because there is nothing like getting tanked at a ballgame.

Halx 05-24-2003 02:30 PM

damn.. invite me along :)

KeyserSoze 05-25-2003 10:36 PM

Hey Godfather......when you inviting the board to that Luxury suite?? I'm tired of sitting in the Field Terrace :)

goddfather40 05-27-2003 09:40 PM

Trust me, I only get to go when absolutlely no one wants to go, i.e. weeknight games against Baltimore or Tampa Bay. It is not all it's cracked up to be, the suite is kind of far down the left field line. Still, it's a good excuse to get tanked and try to hook up with the couple of hot suite attendants.

Some day I'll be rich as fuck myself and have my own suite, and maybe the SoCal TFPers would be invited ;)

OMFUG 05-28-2003 08:29 AM

Is beerr there seriously 8.50? That's ridiculous.... I only ever attend pro hockey games, and I thought thier prices were bad.

goddfather40 05-28-2003 04:46 PM

You think 8.50 is bad, try $10 at Staples Center.

OMFUG 05-29-2003 02:49 AM

Jesus, that's horrible.... there should be a law against ridiculous alcohoil pricing at sporting events.

KeyserSoze 05-29-2003 06:48 AM

Godfather,

How about getting some of those little blondes that shoot the T-shirts up into the crowd to pay a visit on your suite :)
