Busted an entire case of 2004-05 Sweet Shot Basketball cards
I know this is the Sports forum, and not a sports CARD forum, but my pulls were just too great not to flaunt 'em here. I pulled 22 Rookie Cards overall, but I'm only going to list the notable 7.
RC's: Dwight Howard /499 Shaun Livingston (MY BOYEEE!) /499 Josh Childress /499 Andre Iguodala /1250 Al Jefferson /1250 David Harrison /1250 Yuta Tabuse /1250 Jersey Cards (A piece of their game-used jersey is inserted into each of these cards): (2x) Michael Redd Allan Houston Chris Webber Antawn Jamison Reggie Miller Michael Finley (2x) Peja Stojakovic Elton Brand Gilbert Arenas Quentin Richardson (Traitor!) Dirk Nowitzki Andrei Kirilenko Paul Pierce LEBRON JAMES Jersey RC's: Jameer Nelson Ben Gordon Dwight Howard Autographs: Brad Miller Marquis Daniels Andrei Kirilenko LEBRON JAMES redemption Autographed RC's: (2x) Josh Smith Devin Harris Ben Gordon (Autograph is on a baseball skin) DWIGHT HOWARD blue autograph Retired Autographs: Bernard King Dennis Rodman JOHN STOCKTON Stars & Stripes Autograph /10 MICHAEL JORDAN!!! This was my Christmas gift to myself. I am SOOOO happy with what I pulled! That's my first-ever Jordan autograph! P.S. If you see one that has a slash and a number (/10), then that means the card is short-printed to that amount.

can u still sell cards for money? and if so, are old ones worth more, or are they worthless and new rare ones are the valuable ones. because i have a ton of old ones. is there anywhere i can check the price, and is there anywhere online i could sell them (besides auctions, i hate those)

Rookie cards sell the easiest (depending on the set; Topps usually has really cheap rookies, while SP Authentic and SPx rookies sell quite high), and then come autographs. Jersey cards don't pack much of a punch in price anymore due to overproduction, so you can easily get a Jordan jersey card for less than $100. Base cards? Well, unless it's part of a complete set, including rookies, don't even bother trying to sell them for much. The #1 rule is this: If the player is popular (Michael Jordan, LeBron James), the card should sell well (excluding base cards). If the player is crap (Tony Delk, Robert Traylor), it won't sell at all unless you come across a set collector. If the player is semi-good (Michael Redd, Ray Allen), the people who usually buy them are player-collectors, but other than that, they're not really highly sought after.

I used to go through baseball and basketball cards like nothing else. I never got shit out of them. Now they are sitting in my closet, collecting dust along with my comic books. I think I've got a Shaq rookie card.. but it's not like it's got an autograph or a piece of his jersey on it. For as much money as I spent on it at the time, I don't think I can get a tenth if I sold it.

well that was depressing...most of them were selling for 10 cents. there was a couple i couldnt find tho. there were alot of 92-93 team leader cards from fleer that were worth a decent amount of money. i have 91-92 team leader cards of hakeem olajuwon, james worthy, rex chapman, and michael jordan. they didnt have them on the site, however....you think you could find how much they are worth? also, i have a frank thomas "1b" card...i dont know if its what you refer to when you say autograph cards, but there is his silver signature, although it is surely fake. i couldnt find out how much that was worth either (made by upper deck "collector's choice" card number 90). think you could find that one, too?
and man, i had a shaq on the magic card and a magic johnson card that i thought would be worth at least something, but no dice. maybe on an auction? |

Rule #2: When it comes to commons and inserts, don't even bother trying to sell them unless it is a large lot of GREAT players. Seriously; you might as well be wiping your butt with your commons. It's so sad indeed.
