I'm not going to make a recommendation for a brand or anything, but I will mention that it would help to first narrow down the type of camping you are planning on doing.

You can use a much heavier tent if you plan to set up beside your car, but if you plan to hike 30 miles with it in your backpack, it changes your selection criteria.

Maybe do a web search for something like this, but use your own variables.

+tent +backpacking +"2 man" +"all season"

That will narrow down your returns and get you to more specific sites.

There are a couple places online I use for stuff like this:

http://www.rei.com
http://www.campmor.com

As stated above, if you tell us what kind of camping you will be doing, the recommendations will be easier to make.

Target carries Coleman and the have minimal assebly, rip cord posts (or something like that), but it's not like the crap we grew up with that took an hour just to find all the pieces.

i second coleman tents. their really reliable and pretty easy to assemble. just remember to lay a tarp out on the patch of land before you pitch your tent, the condensation seeps through the bottom of the tent really easy without it.

Not only that, but it helps protect the bottom of the tent from any twigs and rocks you don't get moved out of the way.
