Bengals Over the Ravens
I know I know ... who gives a flying F you effing effer! about the Bengals. I'm eating a bit of humble pie at the moment because I didn't think there was a snowball's chance the Bungs would beat the Ravens in Baltimore.
Who thinks the Bungs can beat New England?

Being from Cincinnati, I'll say they can beat anyone....though I'm not always right...

Here we go Cincy, HERE WE GO!!!!!!
Cincy 2 weeks ago took Pittsburgh to the wire. They have won 6 of the last 7 and are peaking. Carson Palmer is showing why he will be a great QB and Chad Johnson is finally coming alive. The Bengals D (except for last week against the Browns) has been underrated all season long. Cincy has a pretty decent schedule left and even with a loss to the Pats (which is a game the Bengals could surprise) stand a chance to make the playoffs. I don't have grandiose visions of a Bengals Superbowl this year but I can see them becoming a powerhouse, by next season and definately being a playoff team this year. Super Bowl IMHO will be the Pats and Eagles.

Congrats to the Bengals, they deserved the win.
Of course they were lucky McAllister was too hurt to play Johnson as physical as he always has, and CJ was able to explode.

That is one of the worst losses I have ever experienced as a fan. I think I know how Bronco fans felt last week against the Raiders. Both the Ravens and Broncos are former Super Bowl champs and recent playoff teams, yet get beat at home by divisional teams with worse records. Also, Champ Bailey (praised as one of the best corners) and the Baltimore secondary (praised as one of the best in the league) looked like shit.

here's the Bengals' remaining schedule:
at New England (11-1) vs. Buffalo (6-6) vs. NY Giants (5-7) at Philadelphia (11-1) most likely, the Bengals will finish 8-8... but, even if they somehow go 9-7, it's likely that they'll still miss the playoffs. |

No way should that have happened. Theres got to be some excuse. I just haven't come up with it yet. .
Cincy deserved that win. I don't see them making the playoffs though. Next year, maybe.

Oh, man, this is great!!! All of the bandwagon fans who have seen the Bengals win 14 games so far in the last 2 years don't know how great it is (and how painful it was to see them only win about that many between 1993 and 2001). I can't wait to see what Carson will do next year, esp. with TJ Houshmenzadeh's recent improvement, Peter Warrick's return, and CJ's making other defenses sick.
As far as this year goes, we might knock off the Pats next week (that motherfucking crybaby asshole Dillon won't get even 50 yards), and I can't forsee the New York Mannings or the Tomatoheads beating us (although seeing Takeo Spikes back in Cincy will be fun). Since they pass a lot and we have so many interceptions on the year, we might knock off the Eagles. I would be more than happy to see Ben and the Steelers win it all this year though.

Well as we all saw, the pats won today. I believe the bengals killed themselves...the interception by palmer, and the lack of safety coverage that cost them a TD. We are on the verge of being a very good team, with palmer, Rudy and Chad Johnson and Houshmenzadeh's numbers have been very impressive this year. We probably aren't playoff worthy, but I'd like to think we could still have a winning season considering the past 10 years of bengals play.
6-7...3 games left 2 of which we should win.
