2004 ARMY-NAVY GAME
And I have duty today. Maybe it's just as well, I get to watch the game from the greatest fighting ship to sail the seas, USS GEORGE WASHINGTON.
Well the game is getting ready to get underway on CBS. A win today and the Commander in Chief's Trophy would be the cap to the greatest season Navy has had in a long, long time. All I have to say is... GO NAVY! BEAT ARMY! -Mikey |
Well, Navy pounded on Army, 42-13. Navy finishes their regular season 9-2, their first 9 win season since the 60's. Next up is the Emerald Bowl vs. New Mexico. Navy has many graduating seniors this year, let's hope the seeds have been sown for a Navy football revival. Fullback Kyle Eckel may be a mid-round NFL draftee.
Navy is now 6-4 in the 10 games since I've been on active duty, including the last 3 straight. -Mikey |
Heh yeah, I'm somewhat of a New Mexico fan, considering that's where I grew up. I lived within walking distance of the UNM stadium. I'll be watching that game.

I missed this game, and I am aggravated at myself about that. Outside of Ohio State-Michigan, this is my favorite. I always pull for Navy, my dad was a S1C on APA 211, USS Missoula in WWII. Go Navy, beat New Mexico. And Mikey, God bless you and keep safe while on active duty.
