Is the Red Sox "Curse" in effect at all?

After four errors in Games 1 and 2 and still winning both games is the curse still in effect? And if so will this series come down to Game 7? I just can't see how the Sox could implode om themselves anymore than they did in those first two games at home defensivly. Hope to see the Sox take it all but also interested to see how else the "curse" could effect this series.

there is no curse..it's just a stupid media ploy. I believe the Red Sox will win but it will be a tough series..especially now that it's heading to St. Louis

It would be really wierd if Boston won the first three games, and them St. louis comes back to win the final four. I hope it doesnt happen though.

shhh!! don't even talk like that  As a Boston fan we are always waiting for something bad to happen.. or maybe that's the illusion that is put forth. We hold our hands over our eyes expecting a home run to knock us out of the playoffs or we bury our heads as the 3-2 pitch comes across to our best hitter. It's not a curse..it's just we haven't been able to pull all of it together. I think there's a good chance that Ted Williams will be smiling soon. RIP

Yeah, basically, I'll always be biting my nails until its REALLY in the bag, and I think alot of Boston fans are. As far as the curse goes, I personally think it's bullshit, but thats just because I've never been into superstition.

I want Boston to win simply because there's a curse that makes it "impossible." Such things are foolish. Besides, there are more Card fans down here than Sox fans, and I prefer the underdog.

What is this term "Curse"? Is that French? I don't understand what that means.

I like the point of view they took in the SNL Weekend Update skit that made fun of the curse. The Babe's ghost was just passed out for the last 4 games.

Albinho 10-25-2004 11:39 PM

Oh, and go Sox. Any team that beats the Yankees is a team I like.

Spartak 10-26-2004 01:38 AM

Heh, on SportsCenter they showed Ortiz do the "Buckner" in practice.

To answer your question, the "curse" is still in effect because the Red Sox haven't won a world series. Yet.
