Yeah they only lose to the second highest payroll...

yeah, the second highest payroll....but that's a hell of a difference

yeah Yankee's won that catagory 183,000,000 to 125,000,000. even with almost $70 million more commited to payroll (a whole teams worth) the Yankees couldnt finish them off.

this whole series was amazing....too bad i missed out on most of it due to school.

Say what you want y'all, but that SECOND payroll just came back from terrible odds to be the FIRST payroll, and make HISTORY. Payroll has nothing to do with it, this was all about coming to play the hardest fucking game of baseball you've ever played, and the Red Sox did just that.

OMFG. If the Red Sox win the world series this year than they effectively BOUGHT it.

you can't buy a comeback being down 3 games to 0. The red sox took it to the yankees plain and simple. The yankees got beat by a broke club last year. So what if they got beat with a team that has some money. it was the yanks series to lose and they choked. Start saying "wait till next year" all you stankee fans.. you have no other option.

This is way beyond money, yes the Red Sox have the second biggest payroll, but that had nothing to do with them coming back from an 0-3 deficit. That was all about heart and desire, you can't buy that or pay for that. They "hired" a bunch of winners, guys that love playing the game, don't give up, play hard everyday. Sometimes they lose, sometimes they win. When they lose they quickly pick themselves up, dust themselves off, put it behind them and go right back at it. When they were down 0-1, 0-2 and even 0-3 the dugout wasn't showing it. They were loose and just going out t play the game they love.

It was a bummer that game 7 was the least exciting to watch. At least for me it that's how it was.

The Sox might as well get a good look at Beltran if the Astros win tonight b/c the Yanks are going to offer him Baazillions to play center field in New York next year.

The Red Sox beating the Yankee's had nothing to do with choking. I'm not a fan of either team and it was real clear that the Sox just wanted it more. Highest payroll doesn't buy you squat in the playoffs.

I see the point. If anyone thinks it wasn't a choke, just call it an upset and feel just as damn good.
