Week #6

With just the late Sunday game and the Monday night game left, we are down to two players who could win this week. Giant Hamburger and bundy both have 11 points so far. Since only two players picked New Orleans tonight and three picked Tampa Bay for Monday, no one can catch either of them.

So if the total points on Monday night is 36 or less, Giant Hamburger shall win this week (Hail citizens!). If the total points are 37 or more, bundy pulls it out.

The suicide pool awaits the result of the Monday night game, but we may survive the week without anyone being eliminated. The Loser pool has had some victims, but we need the rest of the games to finish to see who advances to next week. We will have at least 36 of 55 players advance (and potentially 43). More updates later.

Stupid Packers. First time all year I pick them to lose and they kick me out of the loser pool in the first week.

Fuck the Raiders.......I give up, we are the worst team in football. I am embarrassed to even be a fan. There is not point to even complain about our problems anymore, the entire team is pathetic. We dont deserve to even play in the NFL. 2-14, HERE WE COME!

Sion 10-17-2004 04:53 PM

GRRRRR. Im 10 of 12 so far and CANT win. friggin Titans and Bears, YOU SUCK!

oh well, at least my STEELERS pulled out a HUGE win against the Cowgirls!

Big Ben Roethlisberger is FUCKING AMAZING!

Scipio 10-17-2004 07:11 PM

Roethlisberger is the real deal. Too bad he won't begin his career at 5-0, as the Steelers are gonna get spanked by the Pats and then again by the Eagles after their bye week.

At least Jax and ATL came through for me this week. Can't say the same for da bears.

dont bet on that. the more I see of this kid, the more I think he is the second coming of Elway, Favre and Bradshaw all rolled into one. Sure, on paper that Pats and Eagles are superior teams to the Steelers. but the game isnt played on paper. I wont go so far as to say that the Steelers will win both of these games, but my gut feeling says we will pull one of them out. if I had to bet, I'd say the Eagles.

Glory's Sun 10-18-2004 11:43 AM

Roehlisberger is a good pocket QB. I think him being compared to Marino and Elway are a bit unfounded but he is doing pretty damn good for a rook that's for sure

eagle1 10-18-2004 11:47 AM

I was hoping my Seahawks would pull one out in Foxburro. If they played the first half like they played the second half, it would have been no contest!

Going 21-25 with 2 TDs and no INTs is godlike for any QB, much less a rookie, but the real tests are ahead of him. I'm certainly going to be watching, and it would be pretty neat to see him beat either team, but I just don't see it happening. Those two teams are on a mission.

Right now STL just tied it up with TB. They seem to be making a game of it.

Congratulations bundy!

You can collect your prize at the TFP Headquarters on the third Thursday of the month, as long as the trap isn't in use at the time.

Giant Hamburger 10-19-2004 07:16 AM

Hail Bundy!

I commend you on your victory.
What I find most amazing is you probably don't even watch American football yet you consistently pick the winners better than most. I am beginning to believe you are some sort of savant.

Over and out,
-GH

thank you all, i'm honoured.
i remember making mousetrap racers in my youth.
mine the were the greatest on my street until that bastard Stuart turned up with a massive bloody rat trap. bastard.

hammy, shhh... my secret is out
its true that i've never watched an entire game of American Football (its just never shown here).
but thats not to say i don't know which are the strong teams.
my selections are based mostly on win/loss home games and whether or not i like the sound of the team name... much the same that way i bet on the horses.

thank you all, may we all revel in similar glory next week.
