Did I miss something, or did Cal lose last week?
They didn't show the game on the East Coast, but I heard that Cal lost last week, so why didn't they move back in the polls? So what...they played better than USC but lost anyway. They played a near-perfect game--their qb had 23 completions in a row, and they still couldn't pull it off. What makes them a top 10 team, especially when a team like Tennessee has beaten two top 25 teams, including a team that was getting 1st place votes, and they're 13th?
This has got to be the first example of West Coast bias ever. |

I don't think any of you watched the game. They were 10 yards or so away from a touchdown and extra point which would have won the game. They really stifled the Trojans in the second half. Outplaying the number #1 ranked team in the land and losing merits only dropping a couple of spots. I don't understand why you're picking on Cal when there are many other 1 loss teams ranked above them like FSU, Georgia, and Texas. I would be really pissed that Georgia is still ranked higher than Tennessee. That being said I think Tennessee probably should be ranked higher than they are. T

Fuck that, USC is the one that should be moved back in the polls, They have had a bunch of close games and Oklahoma hasn't had any since this weekend. I hate OU, but this is just another example of how screwed the human polls are: they're obviously based on where the voters think the teams will end up at the END. They are CLEARLY not voting on what the teams have done so far.

From looking at the BCS projections (the official standings haven't come out yet, but some cool nerd at ESPN looks it all up), Cal is 12, while Tennessee is in front of Georgia, and both are in the top 10. Hopefully, when it comes out next week, the pollsters will think again about how they're voting.
