one word...schilling

Moskie 10-19-2004 08:31 PM

Gotta give some credits to umps for this game, too. Some of the best umpiring (?) i've seen in a long time.

And the sox better fucking win game 7!!!!

goppers 10-19-2004 08:31 PM

I'm so very happy that I was wrong about Schilling's ankle. he was great tonight. and bellhorn could use some fenway love these days too.

inharmony 10-19-2004 08:32 PM

ok 2 words...umps :)

MikeyChalupa 10-19-2004 08:33 PM

Sorry, had to go vomit.

This is completely sickening. I am at a loss for words. Now who pitches for us tomorrow, Brown? Beautiful, just fucking beautiful. Hats off to Schilling, gutsy performance out there tonight. How these teams can both make 180's overnight is mind-boggling.

I'll have some ketchup for my words, please.

Time to throw the Yankees out of the playoffs like an old man to the ground.

 those pictures TOTALLY added to the stuff on my list that made my night!

Glory's Sun 10-20-2004 05:53 AM

this series has become the best baseball has ever seen in it's history. We've been watching history being made. This series (no matter who wins) will be talked about for a long long time. It's going to be interesting to see what both teams do. Especially with the pitching dilemas on both sides. Schilling was brilliant, but you gotta give props to Bellhorn also. I have nothing else to say except for GO SOX!!

runtuff 10-20-2004 06:08 AM

What a great game, what a late night again. What a bush league play by Alex Rodrigues. Tonight will decide it. It does not get any better than this.

Beatlefan58 10-20-2004 06:09 AM

I don't know about the best in history--in my adult lifetime, we have the Astros/Phillies in 1980 NL Playoffs and the Twins/Braves World Series in 1991--but any top ten list without it is going to be lacking. I say that even before we know how it turns out tonight.

With Schilling and Leiber giving both bullpens a bit of a breather (and it didn't go extra innings), I foresee a long battle with a lot of pitching changes tonight. I question if Foulk can be expected to pitch his 6th inning in 4 days tonight, so Timlin looms large in the Sox pen. Rivera is fresh (for him), but the Sox showed that they CAN get to him.

I'm not a fan of either team and I'm pumped for it!

canuckguy 10-20-2004 06:12 AM

Can't wait for tonights game, hope its not a blow out after these three close games.

bigoldalphamale 10-20-2004 07:39 AM

this is proactive punishment for what the yankees will no doubtedly do in the offseason, purchasing every best available free agent, including Carlos B.

Now if my Vols just could have pulled one off against Auburn...all would have been right with the world.

GO SOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lockjaw 10-20-2004 05:17 PM

Oh snap! Reliever comes into the game and gives up a top of the second grand slam the wheels are coming off the little Bronx Bandwagon...

Yeah. RIGHT. Thank YOU for doubting him. So far:

Lowe has an Era of 3.18

Brown had a whopping 21.60, Vazquez had a 9.95, and Loaiza is currently at 1.50.

Once again, I thank all of YOU for doubting Derek Lowe.

Ahem... Cha-CHING. We'll take that in large bills only please.

I can honestly tell you that is incorrect.

I'd give a toe to see the sox win at home in game 6 or 7.

I loved the hype for todays game. It was according to a few national folks, the biggest game in baseball history. Just awesome. what a game. I'm quite happy at the moment.... (also maybe a bit drunk, but not so much that I can't type....well.... maybe i can type..... maybe)
