Monday Night Discussion
Just thought we needed a place to discuss the Monday Night game.
Being a huge Green Bay fan, I was extatic, but not really suprised. They took it to them on the ground and with the D. That will have to be their mantra this year. Did anyone Tivo Smith's leg break. Geez that made me squirm when they showed the replay of that. Next week should be a great matchup, Minnesota at Philly. Any other thoughts? |

Minnesota and Philly is going to be a hell of an game. That is one game where I truly cannot even guess who would win. lf I HAVE to choose though, I gotta go with Minnesota. The only reason Philly would win is because of Owens, and I personally hate him. I hate show-offs, especially show-offs like him who celebrate every god damn play. We need more players like Barry Sanders, he knew he was the greatest player and never once did he celebrate. He was a true champion.

I don't like Owens either, especially after running to the mid-feild star in Dallas, twice.
But he will be the difference, just having his presence on the feild will open things up for McNabb to run his game the way he wants to. It will be close, But I think Philly has a slight edge. Minnesota did let Vinny get 355 yards last week. |

I watched 3/4 of the game so I missed the leg break. Saw it on ESPN.com this morning and couldn't believe it. That's 2 top receivers down for the year in the first weekend (Charles Rogers being the other).
I think next week's game is going to be a great one to watch if you like seeing big time passing. 2 of the leagues top QB/WR combos facing off.

Ahman is my favorite fantasy back, EVER.
I'm really upset about Steve Smith. I hate Carolina for not being able to beat New England last year, who I hate even more, but Steve Smith was a star receiver I actually liked, which is rare, because I usually hate their attitudes. As for Minnesota vs. Philly, I'm going Philly for the better defense. Well, it depends on the spread. Those Viqueens DBs just can't seem to cover when it counts. |
