Wakeboarding.

So anyone else like to smack the wakes?

I just really got interested in learning to become very good at this about 2 months ago. I've been out every chance I've had. I used to have a Hyperlite newb board with suck rails on it. My buddy let me use his O'Brien board last time we went out and I was amazed at the difference.

It's ridiculously more solid. I'm getting way more pop from the wakes.

I don't do anything very amazing right now. I can junk half wake, heelside in-to-out and out-to-in. I have pulled off a few butterslides too. Next thing I'm gonna be trying is a heelside halfwake 180. Friday I'm gonna work on that.

Anyway, after the revelation of how much the board is important to having a easier time learning tricks. I've made my purchase.

The green board. O'Brien Demented 136" Darin Shapiro.

Any info about tricks of the trade for the smaller jumps and stuff would be awesome, Any tips AT ALL would be real sweet too :)

yeah, I used to be better, I need to get back in shape. I've been doing 180 airs with different grabs, and stuff. I'm not too good, but I like to ride.

What kind of board did you use crfpilot?

I'm going out thursday I'm gonna be trying to pull a small 180 air. Not a full wake one. Either heelside in-to-out wake or heelside out-to-in wake.

I always ride with my heelside to my left, I'm not even sure I can ride well heelside to my right. I need to try to learn to 180slide without a jump so that I can switch back and forth while practicing my jumps.

Still any tips are appreciated by anyone who likes to wakeboard~

I have done it afew times. I wouldn't say I am good. But I can definetly get up, and do some carves in the water. When it comes to getting air, I can get up like a foot. I don't go nearly enough to progress alot. I wish I lived closer to a lake, and had a boat.

when doing 180's start fakey. big air is all about the cut, I can't even tell you how many people i see on the lake trying to get air by bending their knees and jumping, the harder you cut into the wake, the bigger you go.
